Mr. Hazlett currently serves as Chief Investment Officer for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), overseeing $1.5 billion in foundation and pension plan assets. Prior to joining CHOP in 2006, Mr. Hazlett spent seven years at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, one of the largest foundations in the U.S., where he was the Managing Director responsible for overseeing the Institute's $5 billion global equity portfolio. Previously he worked at Investment Counseling, West Conshohocken, a leading strategic and business consulting firm focused exclusively on the needs of the money management industry. At IC, Mr. Hazlett was leading the Business Assessment practice and was Director of Research. A large portion of his career Mr. Hazlett spent with Cambridge Associates, the country's foremost financial and investment consultant to endowment institutions and family groups. His responsibilities at Cambridge as Director of Investment Manager Research gained him the reputation as a leading expert in the assessment of money management firms in the United States. Mr. Hazlett has served as a board member to
a number of selected money management firms and funds:. the Korea Growth Opportunities Fund; Lazard Emerging World Investors Fund and MAC Japan Fund. Mr. Hazlett earned his degree in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1987.
